Montecito Bowling Alley Suite, Las Vegas, Monday
The last few days had been a blur from the moment Mike got a phone call from A.J. Cooper, owner of the Montecito Resort Group. Within an hour, he and Mary were on a private jet headed for Las Vegas.
While Mary visited her stepmother and sisters, Mike had a grueling interview with Cooper. The man was tough, bringing up Mike's short record as head of surveillance and security, but Cooper was fair. He also seemed impressed by Mike's stories about teaching high school in Fandom. The conversation eventually turned to the casino industry as well as the latest moves from Steve Wynn and the Maloof brothers. In the end, Cooper offered Mike the president of operations job at the new Montecito casino in Macau.
Today, Mike got together with Mary, Danny, Delinda and the newest member of the McCoy family. The guys drank beer and bowled while the girls played with baby Coco. "So, Mike, you've got about six months before the new casino opens. What are you going to do in the meantime?" asked Danny.
"I'm going to take a tip from Ed and keep an eye on things in Macau," said Mike. "You remember those crooked contractors who messed with the security cameras during construction on this place? Cooper also wants me to visit some of the other properties and see how each of them operate."
"Well, I think it's great that Cooper hired you for the job, all things considered," said Mary. "There's no one better to run one of his new casinos."
"That's because Cooper knew Delinda wouldn't let him hear the end of it if he didn't bring Mike in," said Danny.
"You know, Mary, I suggested that Cooper talk to you, too. What happened with that?" asked Delinda.
"Sweetie, I appreciate it, but I'm not looking for a new job. I'm perfectly happy where I am right now," said Mary.
"It wasn't a job interview. I was trying to get Cooper to ask you out for dinner. You know, he's single," pointed out Delinda.
Danny groaned. "Oh, no. You are not setting up Mary with Cooper," he said as Mike laughed.
"Come on, Mary. You and Cooper should go out for New Year's. He's not only good-looking but he's rich. I think you two would make a great couple," said Delinda, ignoring Danny and Mike.
"No thanks. I already have a date, something I told Cooper when I asked if I could fly home tomorrow," said Mary.
"Yeah, I should head back with you," said Mike. "I need to pack up my apartment.

Brainstorming
As much as I love Hoshi and Lion-o, I'd love to play a student from a more contemporary time period at FH. However, I seem to be stuck on coming up with new students.
